The 1881 Club is Pasadena's oldest continuously running 21+ cocktail bar, established way back when Washington Boulevard was still an unpaved dirt road. We are a family-owned establishment and pride ourselves in offering the community a cozy place to gather, dance, chat, relax, and enjoy some live entertainment together.
We love jazz.
We love all kinds of music, but jazz is the top cat. Every week, we host Pasadena's premier live jazz sessions. Our roster features world-class musicians, hailing from the silver screen to the niche international underground. Wednesdays are hosted by Jimmy Branley, a fabulous drummer from Havana, Cuba. Our Friday sessions are curated by drummer Joel Taylor, who has performed on a cornucopia of cool projects, from Herb Alpert to the Anchorman soundtrack.
